AYHA is pleased with our special programs for those individuals who would become goalies. As we know the expense of goalie equipment, we are offering a special program to help.
Goalie Rebate / Discount
We are offering financial incentive for all goalies. For all returning goalies, a 50% discount will be applied to the full registration amount at the start of the season. First year goalies will be eligible for a 50% rebate at the conclusion of the season credited towards their next season. The discount /rebate does not apply to Travel expenses and will not be applied until after the team selection process is complete.

A Special Letter from MAC Goaltending
Hello Goalies and Parents,
My name is Bryan McDonald from MAC Goaltending, a goalie development and consultant company. I have been given the opportunity by Adirondack Youth Hockey to train the goaltenders in the organization by running "group private lessons" throughout the season with the goal of full technical development. These private lessons, which are offered to all goalies in the association are over an hour in duration and will take place in the neutral zone on Thursday evenings at the Glens Falls Recreational Center. The focus is on building solid fundamentals and muscle memory through a progressive curriculum, using a distinct plan that is built around the most current innovative techniques. Drills are customized for each level of play and the regimen includes powerskating and movement, skillset reinforcement, and game situational training. The number of goalies will be limited to three per slot and groupings are determined by age for maximum instruction benefit. Registration is required and acceptance is on a first come/first serve basis.
Groupings:
- 04:45-05:55 (Squirt/Peewee)
- 06:05-07:15 (Peewee/Bantam)
- 07:25-08:35 (Bantam/Midget)
The groups and times may be subject to change per month, but will remain consistent throughout the month. All of you have been added to the weekly sign up mailing list. Pre registration is done by e-mail response to the schedule I send out for the upcoming week. The lessons will begin this Thursday 10/28. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
In conclusion, I would like to speak on behalf of MAC Goaltending in saying that we train our goaltenders to have proficient knowledge on how to properly execute every situation encountered in the net, and also go to great lengths to make the environment fun and positive because of the everyday pressures that the position brings. Most importantly, we nurture relationships with each of our students and their families. Once a goalie enters our program we pride ourselves on delivering individual attention, cutting edge development, and customized consulting. Our mission is to give each goaltender the best tools and opportunities to maximize his or her abilities.
