ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
AYHA has purchased new glass and boards the from Berkshire School. These boards will be safer for our players and will require less maintenance than our present boards.
AYHA families and volunteers will be doing a majority of the work and will have primary responsibility for transportation of the new boards, removal of the old boards and installation of the new boards.

We are planning to remove the old boards in the next two weeks. Once the ice is melted, we will need volunteers to disassemble the glass and boards, so the City of Glens Falls can remove them from the building.
We will pick up the new boards on Saturday, April 17th. We have arranged for a tractor trailer to pick them up and need 8 volunteers to load and unload the truck. Bob Rizzo, Matt Mello and I will be driving down to meet the tractor trailer at the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass. This will require physical labor to hand load approximately 60 boards and 60 pieces of glass in the truck and return to Glens Falls to unload them. We expect this may take 10 hours.
Over the next 3 to 4 months, we plan to install the new boards and glass. We will also be constructing player benches & penalty boxes as well as other miscellaneous improvements to our rink. Last year, the City of Glens Falls installed a new compressor, new brighter lights and ceiling panels. The new boards and glass are the next big step in improving our skating facility and the upgrade will be significant.
We need the help of our AYHA members and their families for every part of this process. If you want to volunteer, please E-mail me with your name, e-mail address and your primary cell/home ph. #. This project will take the efforts of many and will reward the children of our community for many years to come.
Thank you in advance for your time and dedication to AYHA.

ATTENTION: First Time Players
AYHA is interested in helping the sport of hockey grow in our community. Hockey not only helps build kids it also builds communities. AYHA has 20 complete sets of hockey equipment "starter kits" (excluding skates & stick) available. AYHA is committed to helping hockey grow by offering our young members ages 4 to 8 years of age our OneGoal "starter kits" equipment program. The equipment can be used for the whole season or until you purchase your own equipment. The program was created to give kids the opportunity to 'try' hockey at a low cost. Each kit contains the protective gear necessary to get on the ice as well as a large hockey bag. A $70 deposit is required and will be 100% refunded when the kit is returned.
The AYHA also provides each child with an "Adirondack Phantoms Youth Hockey" jersey and matching hockey sox to complete the equipment needed to play. You will also need to purchase a hockey stick and skates, ask our expert and equipment manager, Tim Guy for a recommendation on skates and stick. Click Here for More Information

The Adirondack Youth Hockey Association is extremely excited about the resurgence of our instructional House League. As one of the largest House League programs in the Capital Region and North Country, we continue to offer the opportunity for kids ages 2-19 to experience and learn the game of hockey. Our coaching staffs at all levels, from the Termites to the Juniors, bring a huge amount of hockey experience with them. Many have played and coached at different collegiate and professional levels.
